THE GOAL

Designing a dynamic website for both desktop and mobile to effectively showcase new company identity and streamline navigation/the user experience.
THE PROCESS
Initial research included a competitive audit, customer review analyses, and interviews with the user base. Client had a very limited budget for research so focus was on using what information was readily available. A limited scope on number of participants (5-10) was needed to stay within budget. Persona and user journey maps were created to help better understand and empathize with the users potential pain points and define the problem.

ONLINE BOOKING

Users want to schedule and manage bookings online without having to call.
Research revealed that often times users are frustrated when they are left searching for information such as price and types of services offered.
STARTING THE DESIGN
Initially, it was important to spend time on the existing website to understand the pages and features needed to best address users pain points and what would be needed to simplify the navigation. An analyzation of the existing site was top priority.
EXAMPLES OF ORIGINAL SITE
The original site had minimal features and an inconsistent layout and design language. Utilizing the new color scheme and developing a cohesive aesthetic was emphasized in the creation of the new site.
Refreshing the current site
Creating an engaging and eye-catching homepage was the first step. It needed to capture the branding of Rahma Beauty as well as address customer needs. A refresh of the color scheme, typography, and overall visual language was chosen through an iterative design process.
REFINING THE DESIGN

Capturing a cohesive language between both the visuals and the copy was important to find the appropiate tone for the user base.
COmparison
Below are examples comparing the original design to the final design. It was important to include a "Book Now" option in the top menu so no matter what page the user is on they can access the booking services.

FINAL DESIGN

Prioritization was placed on how to structure the existing information given on original site. The presentation and navigation of this information needed to be simplified for the primary issues a user may have when navigating the website.
FINAL THOUGHTS

IMPACT

Creating a compelling design language helped drive engagement to the website as well as improve the customer experience.

Increased engagement by 42% through SEO and streamlined navigation.

WHAT I LEARNED

Prioritizing a smooth user flow and ease of use complimented by a new design in both structure and tone help to both draw the user in and leave a positive experience.

Staying within budget on research meant I had to be creative with the types of research I would be able to do on the project as well as be strategic with understanding the insights with a limited user base.
